Christians should eschew falsehood in all forms- Rev. Osei-Owusu

Wenchi (B/A), Jan. 1, GNA – The Very Reverend Kwabena Osei-Owusu, Superintendent Minister of the Wenchi Methodist Wesley Cathedral, has called on Christians to eschew falsehood and ensure that truth and justice prevail in all facets of the society in 2010. He said that was the only Christians could portray themselves as true sons of God who have been prepared to bring peace and development to mankind.

Rev. Osei-Owusu was preaching at a watch night church service to usher in the New Year at Wenchi in the Brong Ahafo Region. He admonished Christians to guard against material gains at the expense of their spiritual growth.

Rev. Osei-Owusu said materialism could undermine one’s faith in Christ. The Minister challenged Christians to strive for righteousness and honesty in all their daily activities since that is the key to the fulfilment of their desires.

Rev. Osei-Owusu called on the congregation to exhibit a high sense of tolerance and submissiveness in all their endeavours to the glory of God.
