Energy Solution Foundation holds bazaar

Accra, Oct. 19, GNA – The Energy Solution Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) with a focus on renewable energy development in Ghana, on Saturday held a bazaar in Accra to sensitize the public on the need to conserve energy.

Mrs Golda Addo, Founder and Managing Director of the Foundation stressed the need to develop alternative energy resources to complement the country’s sources of power.

She noted that the Akosombo Hydro-electric Project and the thermal plant at Aboadze alone could not guarantee the country’s electricity and commended the government for continuing the Bui Hydro-electricity Project. Mrs Addo called for the development of other electricity sources such as solar and other geo-thermal resources to supplement the country’s sources of power. She stated that geo-thermal sources of power such as solar and wind were environmentally friendly and could help solve the country’s energy needs in a sustainable way. Companies that displayed their wares at the bazaar included Trashy Bags Limited, Beefa Constructions, Lokko Tee Shirts, Dee and Co. and Wellnez Centre. 19 Oct. 09
