Former Agona West PM laid to rest

Agona Nsaba (C/R), April 29, GNA – Burial took place at Agona Nsaba Royal Cemetery on Saturday of Nana Yaw Kobiri II, former Presiding Member, Agona West Municipal Assembly. He was 75, and left behind a wife and a son. Separate tributes read by the Assembly, the wife and his Church, The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, described the late Nana Kobiri as hard working and dedicated to duty, especially to the assembly and the people of the area.

Nana Kofi Agyekum, Adontenhene and Acting Omanhene of Nsaba Traditional Council praised Nana Kobiri who was the former Abakomahene and acting Omanhene of Agona Nsaba Traditional Council for his useful contributions to the two traditional councils. Among those present were, Mr John O. Arkoh, President’s nominee for District Chief Executive for Agona East and Mr Kobina Takyi-Nkrumah, Vice Chairman of Agona East Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Others were Mr John Kwesi Agyabeng, Member of Parliament for the area, Mr Ben Mensah and Dennis Armah-Frempong, former Municipal and District Chief Executives for Agona West and East Assemblies.
