Accra The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said it will take appropriate action to prevent the re-introduction of the Association of Committees for the Defence of the Revolution (ACDR) into work places. The NPP noted that the ACDR, which allegedly “killed innocent demonstrators in cold blood”, is only a camouflage for the CDR which was an integral part of the PNDC’s so-called “revolutionary” cadre groups and “has no legal status in our state institutions under the 1992 constitution”. It said the fact that the Association is being run by a presidential staffer who is paid from state funds makes it appear like the government continues to finance it from state funds.
