Medical Centre opened at Batsonaa

Tema, Feb. 3, GNA – Ghanaians have been urged to go for medical check ups, rather than waiting to get sick before seeking medical attention. Mr Akwasi Gyima-Bota, Director of VEBS Medical Centre made the call at the opening of the Centre at Batsonaa, near Tema on Tuesday. The Centre has a Laboratory Department, Theatre, Out-Patient Department and Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Department. Mr Gyima-Bota said the Centre would offer quality healthcare to the community with its fast growing population. He said as a new community with a number of uncompleted buildings and bad drainage systems in the area, it was found prudent to open the centre and offer healthcare to the people who may need medical attention.

He said the Centre would soon introduce code numbers for all workers of the hospital as well as detailed information on patients to speed up attention.
