Asamankese, Sept. 26, GNA -D avid Asare, a 24-year-old Tema-based trader, was on Friday arraigned before the Asamankese Circuit Court on a charge of defiling his girlfriend’s younger sister. Asare, who pleaded not guilty, was remanded in prison custody to re-appear on October 13. Police Chief Inspector Joseph Idan, told the court that Asare related very well with the 15-year-old student sister of his girl friend.
He said on August 15, he invited the girl to his house for a conversation, during which he proposed love to her but the girl turned down him down. The court heard that Asare forcefully had sex with the girl and warned her not to tell anybody in view of his relationship with her senior sister because it was a taboo for them to have sex. The girl however divulged the information to her sister who made a report to the police. 26 Sept 08
