Dokrochiwa Raises 2mC For Projects

Dokrochiwa (E/R) The cocoa, coffee and sheanut association at Dokrochiwa in the Suhum-Kraboa-Coaltar District has raised over two million cedis to support development project in the town. The money was raised though the kilo deductions from members’ produce. This was made known to newsmen by Nana Ali Kassum, chairman of the association at an annual meeting at Dokrochiwa. Nana Kassum said the money would be used to renovate schools damaged when a rainstorm hit the town about two years ago.

He said as a result of the damage to the school buildings, the pupils attend classes under trees. Mr Kwame Sakyi assemblyman for the area, commended the association for its public-spiritedness.
