Apostolic Church, Ghana, on Election 2008

Accra, April 14, GNA – The Apostolic Church, Ghana, has in a pastoral circular directed the clergy and presiding elders of the Church to pray for peaceful elections in December.

The statement signed by Apostle John A. Adotey, President of the Church, urged all local assemblies of the Church to organise prayer programmes in support of the presidential and parliamentary elections. It said in this election year “we call on all members of the Church to comport themselves in such a manner that is consistent with Christian behavior .”

The statement said the Church would not hesitate to take disciplinary action against “any member caught in an act of misdemeanour” during the elections.
