90 pupils receive free school uniforms

Daboase (W/R) Jan. 24, GNA – Pupils in deprived communities have been advised not to feel discouraged by their environment in their pursuit of education. Their environment must not disturb or discourage them while working hard towards the growth of the country.

The Reverend Kason Huddleston a member of the Hope for the Nations, a Christian Non governmental Organisation (NGO) said these at a presentation ceremony of 90, school uniforms valued at 4.2 million cedis to selected children from three communities at Daboase on Monday. The beneficiary communities included Adzeankyewodanmu, Kwabaa and Krofofrom.

He said the uniforms were purchased by Rev. David Brister, a minister of the Assemblies of God Church now on further studies in the United States of American.

Receiving the uniforms, Mr. Edward Tawiah Amprofi, the Acting District Chief Executive (DCE) thanked the sponsors for assisting over 90 school children who previously did not have school uniforms. He appealed to NGOs and other benevolent organisations to adopt some communities and assist them to improve on their infrastructural development.
