Ho, Dec 22, GNA – Atsu Vorash, 40, an alleged paedophile, has been remanded in police custody by the Ho Circuit Court ‘A’ for allegedly defiling a six-year old pupil.
He pleaded not guilty and would re-appear on January 13 next year. Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Comfort Yeboah told the court that on December 13 when the victim was returning home from school with her younger sister Vorsah invited her.
The victim’s younger sister proceeded home and informed their mother that the victim followed a young man who had called her. Chief Inspector Yeboah said the mother went to the spot described by her younger sister but did not find her.
She said after several calls, the victim responded from a near-by bush and before her mother could get there the suspect who had defiled the victim took to his heels but was he arrested and handed over to the police.
