25-year-old man found dead at Suame

The body of an unidentified young man was found at Suame Magazine in Kumasi in the early hours of Thursday March 23.

The body was tied to an electric pole with blood oozing from some body parts.

The deceased, who is believed to be aged 25, is suspected to be a victim of a mob attack.

Although the cause of his death is not officially known, artisans and traders in the area say the victim is a suspected thief who might have been lynched during Wednesday night’s heavy downpour.

According to an eyewitness, Richard Donkor, traders and artisans at the area saw the body when they came to open their shops in the morning.

Officers at the Suame District Police Command have since conveyed the body and have deposited it at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue.

Suame District Police Commander Superintendent Jude Cobbinah, who confirmed the incident to Class FM, said police had begun investigations into the matter.
