A 24-year-old receptionist at Peace Garden Guest House at Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East District of the Central Region has been raped and stabbed to death by two unidentified assailants.
The unfortunate incident happened on Monday, around 9 am.
Journalist, Benjamin Amuzu who covers Kasoa and its environs extensively, reported to Kasapa News that his investigations reveal the suspects had booked rooms in the guest house where they stayed briefly.
He said, the suspects upon realizing that there was no other person at the guest house except the deceased, then decided to strike by raping her in turns and subsequently stabbed her to death.
Neighbours, who heard shouts of distress call coming from the direction of the guest house, rushed to the facility only to see the young girl lying almost dead in a pool of blood.
She was rushed to the Kasoa Polyclinic where she was attended to, but unfortunately died shortly after arrival.
Meanwhile, the Kasoa Police have temporarily closed down the guest house, as investigations begin into the matter.
