234 State vehicles still missing, 67 retrieved – Ayikoi Otoo

Chairman of the Executive Assets Subcommittee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Transition Team Lawyer Nii Ayikoi Otoo has stated that they have retrieved 67 State vehicles from some appointees of the erstwhile Mahama-administration and individuals.

Addressing journalists in Accra, he complained that 234 vehicles are still missing.

The Mahama-administration has been accused of stealing State vehicles after losing the 2016 elections.

The former deputy chief of staff Jonny Osei Kofi debunked 208 vehicles missing allegations by the Akufo-Addo’s government describing it as ‘baseless’.

Mr. Otoo assured that the assets task force would collaborate with the Driver Vehicle and Licensing Authority (DVLA) to arrest individuals who would attempt to register the cars.

A section of Ghanaians have criticised the government saying it is a diversionary tactics from its 110 appointed ministers and deputies.
