20 graves desecrated at Abrafo-Odunmase

Abrafo-Odumasi (C/R), Jan 12, GNA- Grave looters, on December 26th last year, desecrated more that 20 graves at Abrafo-Odumasi, near Jukwa in the Central Region, and made away with precious ornaments used in burying the dead.

Opanin Kojo Bediako, an opinion leader, who disclosed this to GNA at Abrafo-Odumasi at the weekend said the looters took advantage of the Christmas holidays to ransack the cemetery which is about one kilometre from the town.

He said the incident was discovered two days later by people who pass near the cemetery to their farms. Meanwhile Mr S. K. Gyimah, Assemblyman for the area has appealed to members of watchdog committees in the electoral areas to be extra vigilant against the activities of thieves. GNA
