Zongo Communities Grateful to President Nana Addo

Members of Zongo Community in the Tatale Sangule Constituency of the Northern Region have expressed gratitude to president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for specially designating a  ministry/minister to oversee the development of Zongo communities in Ghana which have been neglected for far too long.

The residents indicate that they are particularly enthused over the appointment of Alhaji Boniface Abubakari Sadiqque as the minister designate for Inner City and Zongo Development.

In a release issued and signed by Alhaji Inusah Sittu Damballe IV (Zongo Chief, Tatale) and other executives of the Zongo Caucus, it stated “ We appreciate this special focus on Zongo communities’ development your government has initiated.

This can only be done by a visionary leader like you Mr President.  We are however calling on the Minister Designate not to relent on his efforts to bring to light, his experience and commitment to the development, prosperity, success and progress of Zongo communities”

According to the group,  Tatale Zongo community  is bedeviled with  extreme deprivation, low level of education, high unemployment, rural-urban migration, poor health and sanitation among other problems and therefore expressed hope that the minister will focus on addressing these problems once sworn into office.

“We are urging you to expedite action to ensure improved education, health, development and wellbeing of the people of Tatale Zongo community”
