Zongo communities asked to vote for NPP

Akwatia (E/R), Aug. 18, GNA- Chairman of the Akwatia Constituency branch of the Nasara Club of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Adamu Mumuni has appealed to Zongo communities to support President J. A. Kufuor and the NPP.

He said they should vote massively in the December general elections for the NPP.

He explained that in the history of Ghana, “it iss only the NPP that had made a Muslim, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, a Vice President of Ghana”. Addressing members of the club at Akwatia, Alhaji Mumuni said “by this singular act, the President and the NPP had demonstrated that it holds Muslims in high esteem”.

He asked Muslim parents to take the education of their children seriously since education holds the key to success in an sphere of life.

Alhaji Idi Moro, Head of the Dagomba Community at Akwatia asked Muslims to ensure that their children refrained from mining and instead stay in the classroom.

He asked them to take good care of themselves so that they did not contract HIV/AIDS.
