Zini/Buwa Council asks Daagaba farmers to return to disputed lands

Zini (U/W), June 25, GNA – The Zini/Buwa Traditional Council in Sissala West District has agreed to allow Daagaba farmers in Fielimoa community to return to their farms.

At a stakeholders meeting at Zini to resolve the protracted land dispute between Nimoro and Fielimoa communities, the Council agreed to allow Daagaba farmers to go about their farming activities.

Kuoro Barecheh Nlowie Baninye, Acting President of Zini/Buwa Traditional Council who convened the meeting said the Council would resort to legal means to resolve the dispute.

He said Sissala’s were peace loving people and would not like to have any conflict with its neighbours over land.

The protracted land dispute between Nimoro and Fielimoa communities nearly led to a clash last month.
