The Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Gusau, has hosted a presentation on meningitis and its preventive measures at the newly named Dr Anka Mohammed Kabir Auditorium within the centre.
Dr Kabiru Mohammed Mande, a consultant on infectious diseases and Head of Internal Medicine, delivered the presentation, emphasising the prevalence, symptoms, management, complications, and infection prevention and control of the disease.
The medical director of the centre, Dr Bello A. Mohammed, encouraged staff to treat patients as VIPs, engaging with them and listening to their concerns as they would with their own relatives.
