Yoyogo chief commends American volunteer for assistance

Yorogo (UER), Aug. 31, GNA – The Chief of Yorogo, near Bongo in the Upper East Region, Naba Johnson Awuni, has commended Madam Judith Lees, an American Peace Corps Volunteer, for donating 20 million cedis, she raised through an appeal for funds in the US, to re-roof the local primary school.

Naba Awuni, who made the commendation during an interaction with newsmen at Yorogo, also praised the selflessness of the artisans who fixed the roof free of charge.

He appealed to the school authorities to ensure regular maintenance of the facility.

Mr Siddik Adongo, Assemblyman for the area, thanked the Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly for providing 60 dual desks for the school, and advised the pupils to take good care of the furniture.
