Youth urged to make society a better place

The Communications Director of Airtel Ghana, Mr. Raymond Ablorh has urged the youth to learn to impact the world in which they find themselves positively.

Mr. Ablorh was speaking at the 2016 PeaceJam Slam held on Saturday, 22 October 2016 at St. Kizito conference hall, Nima.

He asked the youth not to be only interested in schooling to pass exams but focus on education that will be of benefit to society.

“We don’t go to school to learn and pass exams, be adjudged the best student and we come out of school doing nothing. We go to school to learn to become better people and to impact on others and society. No matter how your mentors performed in school, whether they failed or not, today they are making the world a better place by impacting some skills in you. That is the relevance of going to school. Applying the knowledge we acquire to make society a place,” Mr. Ablorh said.

The PeaceJam Slam organized by the West Africa Center for Peace Foundation brought together hundreds of young people to impact in them the spirit of team building, community service and peace building projects among others.
