Youth speaks against shoddy road projects at Dormaa

Accra, Jan. 23, GNA- The Dormaa-Ahenkro Youth Association (DAYA) has expressed concern about the quality of work being executed by a contractor assigned for the tarring of roads in the town. The Association said Dormaa Ahenkro in the Dormaa District in Brong Ahafo, is deprived area and that it was expecting a good job on the road rehabilitation project.

A statement signed by Mr Yeboah Williams, DAYA Secretary said:” The Contractor who has been assigned to do the work is simply not qualified and should not have been contracted to carry out such projects.” The statement said what is painful and sad was that the roads are in deplorable condition than before.” The statement called on the government to act swiftly to rectify the situation.

DAYA said, with the exception of the projects initiated by Osagyefo Oseadeayo Agyemang Badu II, Paramount Chief of Dormaa Traditional Area, the town has not witnessed any quality development project.
