Youth of Nsawam to demonstrate against ECG

The Youth of Nsawam and Adoagyeri Municipality have planned a one-week demonstration from next week against the frequent power outages by the Nsawam District Electricity Company of Ghana.

Ms Sadia Salifu Bondolie, the leader of the youth, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after a meeting with the youth that the demonstration would start from Adoagyeri through the main streets of Nsawam to present their complaint to the municipal engineer of the Nsawam branch of the Company.

She said the reason for the demonstration was frequent power outages without any information to the public as a result of which many had their home appliances damaged.

Mr Bondolie said power outages had denied many homes in the municipality the smooth supply of pipe borne water.
