Youth group warns Otiko to stay off DCE appointment

The Gender Minister Otiko Djabah has incurred the wrath of some youth belonging to the New Patriotic Party in the Nadowli Kaleo District over what they say is her interference in the selection of a DCE for the area.

They accused the minister of lobbying to get the women’s organiser Kate Lankono as the DCE for the area.

Spokesperson for the youth Eric Dademe in an interview with Starr news pledged to resist any attempt to impose the Minister’s choice on them.

For him, the Minister’s alleged machination is “inappropriate” and they are not going to allow her have her way.

Several youth groups in the ruling party have accused government officials of interfering in the process to select district, municipal and metropolitan Chief executives for their respective areas.
