The Coalition of Sekondi Constituency Youth Groups of the New Patriotic People’s Party (NPP), has declared its support for Mr. Sampson K. Darko popularly known as Sampson K. to contest the upcoming primaries.
Mr. Abdul Razak Asante, Convener together with Ishmael Dimah, Spokesperson and Joseph Nai, Coordinator, announced this at a press conference to hand over the nomination form to Mr. K. who is also the Assembly man for the Asafo electoral area.
“Sekondi needs a champion to replace Papa Owusu-Ankomah as MP and we, the leadership of the coalition of Sekondi youths groups have found that champion in the person of Mr. Sampson K.”
The Convener mentioned that the aspirant had distinguished himself in politics, academia and as an assembly member adding that he had worked with almost all the past and present executives of the party.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of Cape Coast and one-time the President of the Mathematical Association of Ghana.
Mr. Sampson k has also worked as polling station chairman, member of the Western Regional Communication team, Regional Communication Director and also a member of the 2012 Sekondi Constituency campaign team.
He pledged to work hard to bring development to the area when given the nod by the delegates.
