Youth Associations Urged To Seek Welfare Of Communities

Sefwi-Wiawso (Western Region), 7 Oct.,

Youth associations have been reminded that their cardinal objective should be to seek the well- being of their communities. Nana Kwabena Aduhene, a member of the council of state, said they should therefore avoid the tendency of getting involved in chieftaincy disputes. Inaugurating the Sefwi-Wiawso Youth Association at Sefwi-Wiawso, Nana Aduhene told the people that such tendencies divide the people’s ranks, thereby compounding their problems. Nana Aduhene disclosed that henceforth the activities of youth associations in the district would be closely monitored to ensure that they create a good image for themselves. He advised the youth to refrain from drug abuse and teenage pregnancy.
