Youth admonished to shun immorality

Alhaji Osman Yeboah, Chief Imam of the Nkoranza Muslims Community, has admonished Muslim youth to shun sexual immorality and other social vices, to enable them to become role models in their communities.

Alhaji Yeboah gave the advice in a sermon during the observation of the Eid-al-Fitr Festival of the Ahmadiy ya Muslims Mission at Nkoranza.

He advocated for much attention to the marginalized like the sick, widows and orphans in the society, saying “compassion and care for such people and alms-giving pave the way for believers to enter the Kingdom of Allah”.

Alhaji Yeboah advised Muslims to eschew greed, selfishness, cheating and enmity, emphasizing that “such negative attitudes are devilish,” because they contradicted the teachings of Islam.

He prayed to God to bless the leaders of the country, by offering them kind and loving hearts, to serve the people with zeal to promote peace, unity and prosperity.

Master Usman Demba Bah, a student of the Jamia Ahmadiya International Training Institute at Mankesim in the Central Region, preaching on the same platform, stated that the period of Ramadan was a time of blessing in the Islamic Religion, because it offered a great opportunity to communicate with God.

Master Bah, a Liberian, therefore, emphasized the need for Muslims to promote unity, peace and understanding in their communities, to fulfill the objective of the Islamic Religion, which meant peace.

The Nkoranza Municipal Chief Executive, Madam Stella Amoatemaa commended Muslims nationwide for spending 30 days in fasting and praying for national development.
