Your time is up – NDC parliamentary candidate tells NPP MP

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) of the Offinso North constituency yesterday held a mini rally to launch and officially introduce their Parliamentary Candidate who is also the DCE for the area, Hon. Samuel Kojo Appiah Kubi.

Speaking at the event, the NDC candidate who is contesting for the fourth time expressed his optimism in winning this year’s election.

In the 2012 elections, the presidential candidate of the NDC won by a huge margin but the parliamentary candidate failed to win due to some misunderstandings between the chairman and the candidate.

Hon. Appiah Kubi, however warned the NPP that the NDC this time round is coming with a united front and that the time of the NPP is up.

He further enumerated a number of projects the NDC has done in the constituency under his leadership as the DCE.

The campaign team of the NDC headed by the former chairman Jean Kwame Appiah in the constituency was launched by the Ashanti Regional campaign coordinator who is also the deputy regional minister, Hon. Andy Okrah and the regional NDC chairman Mr Yaw Obimpeh.

The regional chairman of the NDC, Mr Obimpeh admonished party supporters to get involve in the campaign to achieve the ‘Operation One Million votes’ for the president John Dramani Mahama in the region.

The campaign team chairman Jean Kwame Appiah also indicated his support to the campaign despite the wranglings that occurred between himself and the DCE during the NDC primaries and told his supporters to as a matter of priority come on board.

On his part, the deputy regional minister said the Offinso North seat is dear to the heart of the NDC and for that matter the NDC will do whatever it takes to win the seat and increase the votes in the region to more than the one million as has been the target of the party.

“Let’s take this seat because it is one of the targeted seats in the region” he said to the teaming crowd.

He advised those who contested with the candidate and lost to support in the campaign after holding their hands together as a sign of unity.
