Youngster drowns at Wli Waterfalls

Hohoe, (V/R) April 13, GNA – A swimming expedition turned tragic when Master Maxwell Nudanu a 15 year unemployed youth met his untimely death when he drowned at the Wli Waterfalls in the Hohoe District of the Volta Region.

Mr Kwabena Antwi-Boasiako, Hohoe Police Commander who briefed the unfortunate incident occurred just after the Easter festivities. He said two expatriate visitors to the waterfall recovered the body of the deceased.

Mr Antwi-Boasiako said preliminary Police investigations indicated that the incident was purely an accident and so does not suspect any foul play. Meanwhile, the body of Nudanu has been deposited at the Hohoe District Hospital awaiting autopsy. 13 April 07
