Young singer DELAROSA killed in Los Angeles ambush shooting

Maria De La Rosa, a rising 22-year-old Latin singer known professionally as DELAROSA, has been killed in what police describe as an ambush-style shooting in Northridge, Los Angeles.

The shooting happened early on Friday, November 21, 2025, at around 1:25 a.m. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, two male suspects ran up to a parked car and fired several shots into the vehicle. Three people were inside.

DELAROSA was rushed to a nearby hospital but later died from her injuries. The two other victims in the car were left in critical condition, police said.

LAPD’s Valley Bureau Homicide detectives have taken over the case. As of the latest reports, no arrests have been made, and the motive remains unknown. Detectives are asking anyone with information to come forward.

DELAROSA had been building a growing fanbase online and had recently released a new single titled “No Me Llames” in August. She also shared on social media that she had been working in the studio shortly before her death.

The investigation is still active, and police have not released further details about the suspects.
