Accra, May 1, GNA – Ms Sarah Adwoa Safo, a lawyer, has won the
Dome-Kwabenya Constituency Parliamentary Primary of the New Patriotic
Party with 186 votes. Her closest contestant, Michael Nii Nortey Oquaye, also a lawyer, got
124 votes, while the other candidate, Mr Robert Osei Bonsu, a
businessman, had 19 votes. The-EC supervised election was held at the School of Nuclear and Allied
Sciences Kwabenya, an off-campus facility of the University of Ghana
Legon. Ms Adwoa Safo, having been declared winner, thanked the Almighty God
and the delegates for her success and stressed that she would work with all
in the Constituency and pleaded with her contestants to join hands and give
the NPP victory in 2012 polls. In another development, Mr James Amoah won the Abokobi-Madina
election with 207 votes. Alhaji Mumuni Sulemana got 185 votes while Frank
Tyron had four votes.
