You have to vote wisely this year – NPP MP

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPPs), Member of Parliament (MP) for the Suhum constituency, Hon. Fredrick Opare Ansah has urged electorates to scrutinize the promises and policies of political parties so they make a wise decision on election day.

The legislator in his speech, advised voters to compare and contrast the policies and programmes of all the political parties so, they are able to decide which ones are best in helping to develop this country.

Mr. Ansah was speaking to the chiefs and people in the constituency following an accusation from the NDC that, he [MP] had hired some people to use an NDC branded vehicle to create confusion in the constituency.

He debunked the accusation and has challenged the party to arrest those who persuaded the act if indeed it was true. He passionately appealed to the residents to desist from acts of violence and allow a fair playing ground for all political parties contesting in the upcoming general polls to campaign in the area.

He said, ‘’when we [politicians] come to outline our promises and policies in governing this country, you should compare and contrast and choose wisely…You should not prevent anyone from campaigning in this constituency.

Allow all political parties to campaign so the voters will decide who to vote for on election day. The upcoming election is about choosing a leader to govern this country, and so it will be important to allow all the parties to engage with the voters before the election, so they make their choices.

If you prevent parties from campaigning at some areas, how would the electorates have the opportunity to listen, compare and contrast the promises from the parties contesting in the race?’’

According to him, the NPP continues to outline it’s policies just as other parties are doing, however, Ghanaians should take time and scrutinize all the promises available to them and vote wisely.
