You have not held nation and government to ransom – Foli

Accra, Dec 30, GNA – Mr Tennyson Foli, President of the Civil and Loca= l Government Staff Association (CLOGSAG) has commended members for their ha= rd work especially by not conducting themselves in such a manner that the government and the nation was held to ransom. He said the association looked forward to see “you offer more than wh= at you produced in the course of the year, not forgetting that the New Year has its own challenges”.

Mr Foli, who spoke to the GNA in an interview on Tuesday, said unfortunately a lot of people “don’t see the value of the services we ren= der to the nation”.

He said if these services were quantified in terms of money the criti= cs would have realized the importance of the immense sacrifices offered. Mr Foli said the leadership of the association would give the right direction to members to enable them to surmount any challenges posed in t= he course of their work during the New Year.

He appealed to members not to do anything that would tarnish the imag= e of the association for that reason they should continue to have confidenc= e in the leadership by channelling all grievances and suggestions to the headquarters. Mr Foli said the association expected the government to respond to members’ genuine demands promptly. 30 Dec 09
