You can’t win elections with one strategy – Kwesi Pratt

Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr. has advised political parties campaigning in the Greater Accra Region to be dynamic since one strategy does not win elections in the capital.

Speaking on Atinka AM Drive with Ekourba Gyasi, Mr Pratt mentioned that there are about ten groups of people living in the various constituencies in the Greater Accra.

He explained that there are indigenous, middle-class constituencies as well as constituencies for settlers and the have-nots. He hinted that all the people in these constituencies do not need the same message.

According to Kwasi Pratt, the needs of the indigenous constituencies are more and pressing than that of the middle-class. He added that strategies that will benefit all groups of people must be properly analysed by the political parties.

“The needs of the people of Odododiodio is different from constituents in Dome-Kwabenya constituency,” he said.

He opined that there are a number of reasons why electorates vote for a particular candidate; however, health facilities, water systems, educational systems and good roads determine most people’s choice of candidates.
