Yendi (NR), June 21, GNA- The Yendi Youth for Development, a youth association in the Yendi District, has commended President John Agyekum Kufuor for re-nominating Mr Mohammed Habib Tijani, as the District Chief Executive (DCE).
A press statement issued by Mr Mahama Andani, Chairman of the Association, said Mr Tijani had lived up to expectation hence his re-nomination and urged him to work even harder to justify the confidence reposed in him.
The statement called on the DCE to initiate self-help development projects to complement Government efforts to reduce poverty. It appealed to Mr Tijani to ensure that educational facilities in the area were upgraded if he is confirmed as DCE. The Association appealed to the people to honour their tax obligations and to be law abiding, to ensure the speedy development of the area.
