Yendi DCE calls on Moslems in Yendi to promote peace

Yendi (N/R), Nov 4, GNA- The Yendi District Chief Executive, Mr Mohamed Tijani Habib, has appealed to Moslems in Dagbon to use the Ramadan to reconcile the two families of Andani and Abudu gates so that Dagbon will see prosperity and development.

He said this when the Yendi District security Committee (DISEC) met the chief Imams and opinion leaders of the Andanis and the Abudus to remind them of a routine meeting between DISEC and Moslem sects during the Ramandan.

Mr Tijani pleaded with them to use the month of Ramadan to inculcate truthfulness, patience and honesty as well as forgiveness since these are the principles on which the teaching of Islam is based. He appealed to the Imams not to use their preaching during the fasting to incite the youth against one another. The Commander in-charge of the Military detachment, Captain Ney Adzo, appealed to them to always volunteer information on any insecurity.
