Yaw Owusu Boateng wins NPP Akim Oda Constituency seat

Akim Oda(ER), May 21, GNA – Mr Yaw Owusu Boateng, a Marketing Consultant, has been elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Akim Oda Constituency. At the constituency primaries supervised by officials of the Electoral Commission at Akim Oda in the Birim Central Municipality last weekend, Mr Boateng polled 33 votes to win the seat against five other contestants.

Mr Frank Kwame Busumtwi, Birim Central Municipal Chief Executive polled 25 votes, Mr Augustus Attafuah, a lawyer, 24 votes, Mr Emmanuel K. Oteng, 18 votes, Mr Kwame Owusu, 11 votes and Mr Yaw Adu Twum Sakyi three votes. Mr Boateng expressed appreciation to the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and called for unity among Party activists, supporters and sympathisers to win the seat. The other contestants pledged their support for Mr Boateng to retain the seat for the Party. 21 May 08
