Yaw Adu-Gyimah reinstated into Police Service

Accra, 23 Nov. GNA – The government on advice of the Police Council on Monday reinstated Mr Yaw Adu-Gyimah, Deputy Commissioner of Police, into the Ghana Police Service.

Mr Yaw Adu-Gyimah was removed from the Police Service in 2002, following allegations of professional misconduct against him. A statement issued in Accra and signed by D. N. A. Bennin, Chief Superintendent of Police, said after a thorough service enquiry into his conduct, the administration found no evidence of any wrong doing on the part of Mr Adu-Gyimah and therefore acquitted and discharged him.
