WVI sponsors candidates in Sekyere Central

The World Vision International (WVI) is sponsoring 98 pupils from seven Junior High Schools (JHS) in the Afram Plains to write their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE),

The WVI is assisting the candidates with accommodation and feeding at Nsuta, about 40 kilometres away from their schools.

The candidates are from the Oku D/A JHS, Asuboasu JHS, Brim D/A JHS, Brim Pentecostal JHS, Asuogya D/A JHS and Dome D/A JHS.

Mr Emmanuel Kofi Mensah Addi, Sekyere, Central District Director of Education, who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency, during a tour of the examination centres in the District on Monday, thanked WVI for its generosity.

Out of the 844 registered candidates in the district, seven were absent without any explanation whilst seven suspected pregnant girls were seen busily writing the English paper when the examination started in all the four centres in the district.
