Mr. Woyome and Waterville have been ordered by the Supreme Court to file a statement of case in seven days, in response to a suit filed by Martin Amidu protesting the latter’s receipt of GHC51million judgement debt.
The Former Attorney General and Minister of Justice Martin Amidu today represented himself at the Supreme Court over his suit against his successor Benjamin Kumbuor as well as Waterville Holdings (BVI) Limited, Austro- Invest Management Limited and business man Alfred Woyome.
The suit is part of Mr Amidu’s attempt to help the state retrieve 51 million Ghana cedis which he believes was wrongfully paid to businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome.
The Court has however struck out Austro Invest as a party to the case and advised Martin Amidu to re-direct his action against Austro’s representative in Ghana with reason that the company has been liquidated in its country of origin.
Mr. Amidu is seeking a declaration that the payment of the money to Mr Woyome was inconsistent with and in contravention of Article 181 of the 1992 Constitution.
