Woyome files application to stop valuation of assets

Lawyers for embattled Alfred Agbesi Woyome have filed an application to challenge the valuation of his assets by the State.

At the behest of the government, some security operatives earlier this month storm the house of Mr Woyome at Trassaco to value his properties to retrieve the GHC51 million debt he owes the State.

The lawyers are arguing that the date for the valuation process has elapsed.

However, he has filed an application to stop the oral examination at the Supreme court with the excuse of being ‘sick’.

Mr Woyome has some properties at Trassaco, Tesano- Accra and Kpehe in the Volta Region.

The case has been adjourned to October 20, 2017.
