World Vision Ghana sensitizes visitors on Hand washing

Every visitor to the World Vision Ghana, Accra office was on Thursday encouraged to wash their hands with soap and running water at the gate before entering the offices as part of the sensitization on hand washing to mark Global hand washing day.

Apart from washing their hands, visitors were also encouraged to write a note on a board placed at the gate on hand washing or its importance.

Some of the notes written by the visitors include: “What an encouraging way for an organization to promote hand washing, Hand washing is good, hand washing saves lives,” among others.

When the GNA visited the office, the Communications officer of World Vision Mr Washington Mawuli Nuworkpor, said there were also events going on at their various offices.

He said it was their own small way of sensitizing visitors on hand washing as the world marked Global Hand Washing Day.

Global Hand washing Day is observed on the October 15each year to increase awareness and understanding on the importance of hand washing with soap as an effective and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives.
