World Vision Ghana donates to Education Office

Mampong (Ash), April 1, GNA- World Vision Ghana on Thursday donated a digital stencil duplicating machine to the Sekyere West District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES). The cost of the duplicator was put at 48 million cedis.

Mrs Ernestina Armah, the Acting Ashanti Region Area Development Programme (ADP) Manager of WVG who presented the machine said it was in fulfilment the organisation’s social responsibility towards the promotion of quality education in Ghana, especially in the deprived communities.

Mr Martin Owusu-Mensah, the District Director of Education who received the machine, expressed appreciation to WVG for the kind gesture. He said the donation had come at a time when the office was seeking logistic and financial support from local sources to enhance teaching and learning and that the donation would encourage others to follow suit.

Mr Owusu Mensah appealed to WVG to sustain its mobile library service system in the Sekyere West District’s section of the Afram Plains so as to encourage the reading habit of children in the deprived communities.
