World Vision donates to Swedru and Nyakrom flood victims

Agona Swedru, Aug 2, GNA – The World Vision Ghana, a non-governmental organization, has presented 220 blankets, 220 mats, 220 treated mosquitoes nets and 110 student mattresses worth 14,000 Ghana cedis to victims of the recent flood at Swedru and Nyakrom.

Mr Ebenezer Okoampa, Humanitarian and Emergency Manager of the World Vision, said although World Vision Ghana does not operate in the Municipality, it decided to assist the victims.

He said the World Vision has distributed items to 200 families affected by the recent flood in the Dangme West District and Ga West Municipality.

Mr Felix Jacob Obeng-Forson, Agona West Municipal Chief Executive, expressed appreciation to the NGO for the donation.

He appealed to other organisations to assist the victims.
