World Bank President to address KNUST students.

The World Bank would on Monday organize a day’s open forum at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology KNUST here in Kumasi. The forum would be attended by the Bank’s President Paul Wolfowitz and its country Director Mart Karlson. The bank hopes to elicit views from students and industry leaders on developmental issues in the country. The event dubbed the Development Dialogue series would be held at the university’s Great Hall between 10am and 2pm.

The event is also expected to be attended by the Chancellor of the university Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu, the vice chancellor Kwesi Kwafo Adarkwa and host of others. A Communication Specialist with the Bank, Kofi Tsikata told me discussions at the forum would touch on a wide range of issues. He said discussants at the forum would be permitted to question the bank’s officials on any issue related to the Bank’s activities.
