Workers at Bechem Toll Booth want salaries paid

Information reaching the Ghana News Agency (GNA) indicates that workers at the Bechem toll booth have not received their monthly salaries for more than sixteen months.

Some of the aggrieved workers told the GNA at Bechem, Tano South District Capital of Brong-Ahafo on Wednesday that they collect thousands of Cedis monthly for the government but authorities were adamant to pay them their salaries.

They have however appealed to the government to set up independent investigative committee to look into the matter and expedite action to effect all payments for them as soon as possible.

Some of them explained that they had exhausted all avenues for their payments, noting with regret that political office holders sometimes drove them out of their offices
