Work on Asante-Mampong water expansion works to start soon

Mampong (Ash), June 2, GNA – All is set for work to start on the US$15.3 million Asante-Mampong water expansion project to bring an end to the water problem in the municipality and parts of the Sekyere Central District. Apart from the municipal capital, Mampong, other communities that will benefit are Daaho, Daaman, Bosofour, Besease, Kyeremfaso, Krobo, Mpenya, Dadease, Bonkron, Nsuta and Beposo would benefit. Mr Daniel Appau Ohyeamang, the Municipal Chief Executive, told the Ghana News Agency that the project had been awarded to United States (US) contractors, UEM Group of Companies and would take two years to complete Mr Ohyeamang appealed to landlords in the area to help provide accommodation for the contractors. 02 June 10
