Word Miracle Church International launches 25th Anniversary Celebration

A huge number of the congregation of the Word Miracle Church International (WMCI) on Saturday embarked on a health walk and launch of activities to mark the 25th Anniversary of the mission.

The church had lined-up a number of activities to mark the celebration, which comprised national women’s retreat, inter branches fun games, community service, donation to the less privilege, blood donation, gospel music show, national men’s convention and awards and thanksgiving service.

Most Reverend Dr Charles Agyin Asare, Founder of the church, expressed gratitude to God for his faithfulness for the Silver Jubilee celebration, adding: “God will strategically re-position us (church) for His divine manifestation as we launched into a new era.”

Bishop Agyin Asare said the WMCI has instituted a scholarship scheme to support smart but needy second cycle students.

He said the WMCI has establish two basic schools in the Northern and Volta Regions, whilst plans are underway to build a hospital for the Dzorwulu Special School.

Bishop Agyin Asare said the WMCI is in the process of revamping the Borstal Institute Infirmary at Roman Ridge in Accra with some hospital beds, deep freezer, television sets and medical supplies needed for the better up-keep of the inmates.

He called on politicians to avoid the use of intemperate language as the nation prepares for the December polls.

The Bishop called on religious leaders to preach against violence and all forms of disturbance during Election 2012.**
