Women’s fellowship donates cash and items to Orphanage

Kumasi, Dec 24, GNA – The Old Tafo Presbyterian Church Women’s Fellowship on Saturday, donated one million cedis and items valued at 2.5 million cedis to the Kumasi Children’s Home. The items included rice, gari, edible oil, soap, soft drinks and biscuits.

Mrs Elizabeth Frimpong, President of the Fellowship, said the donation was part of the social responsibility of the Church to support the needy. She said that as mothers it was their objective to assist in the upkeep of the children so that they would not feel neglected and made to feel part of the society.

Mrs Frimpong stated that it was the desire of the members of the Fellowship to use the Christmas period to interact with the children to make them happy. Mrs Victoria Asugnya, Supervisor of the Home, thanked members of the Fellowship for the gesture and appealed to individuals and organisations to emulate them.
