Women urged to support NHIS

Kumasi, Sept 15, GNA- Mrs Grace Dwomoh, Kumasi Metropolitan Community Development Officer, has urged women to ensure the successful implementation of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), to reap the benefits of good health. She explained that women and children were the most vulnerable in society, hence the need for the NHIS to offer them easy access to health care delivery.

She was addressing a meeting of the Kumasi Diocesan Anglican Women’s Fellowship at Asokwa in the Metropolis on Tuesday. Mrs Dwomoh advised people who coughed persistently to go for tuberculosis (TB) check -up since the disease is curable and treatment is free of charge. Mrs Rosaline Mensah, the outgoing Diocesan President of the fellowship, urged members to lead upright lives to serve as role models.
