Women in Traditional Political Institutions denied real power

Discrimination against women, which leads to their being absent from leadership positions, is not limited to political and civil society institutions. According to the Women in Public Life Study, it permeates every structure of society and is present even in traditional political institutions where female traditional rulers are denied the opportunity to exercise their full authority.
